First Post

This is the obligatory self-referential first post. In it one would discuss the aim of the blog and details about the author. I am, however, uncertain as to what specifically I will write about, and reticent as to personal details in a public space.

My aim in part is to enable those few individuals that would have some interest in my personal endeavors to track my progress in them without necessarily having to keep in touch.

I am a software developer and have been programming since age 8 (on an Apple ][+). At the time of this post I have just over 10 years of industry experience, the bulk of it in

web related software development, namely web applications and services. That might sound dull, but I hope to be able to point out a couple of projects, likely personal ones, that show that it is not dull, at least to people like me.

While I'm likely to keep personal issues out of this blog, you will probably gather some small tidbits of my personal life via preferences expressed. In the future feel free to skip anything such as this post above which is not about a topic that specifically interests you.
